What and why: if you ask for update emails we keep your email address (and, if you tick it, your choice to hear about other race pages) to send those emails. Legal basis: your consent. We first send a confirmation email; nothing else is sent until you confirm.

Where: the address is encrypted as soon as it reaches our server and is then stored only in the project mailbox; our statistics hold a salted one-way hash, never the address.

How long: 12 months after sign-up at most, or until you unsubscribe — whichever comes first.

Your rights: reply “delete” to any email from us, or use the unsubscribe link in it, and we erase your address. You can also ask for access or correction, or complain to your data-protection authority (in the Netherlands: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Cookies: two functional cookies — a random visitor id and the page layout you were shown (so you see the same layout on return), kept 180 days. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies. We count page views, source-link clicks and sign-ups per layout; we exclude obvious bots and our own tests.

Not collected: names, political views, location beyond country as reported by our host, or anything else.
